In the comnig weeks, the Students' Rep Elections will be held and this year, one vacancy arose in the Faculty of Engineering.

Malcolm Zammit, current Secretary General of UESA but also a student rep of his engineering stream, describes the role of a student rep:

"Being a student representative is being there for your fellow students. Student representation is important for students because it voices their concerns and opinions. The Student Rep is that individual who bridges the gap between the students and the respective Faculty Board. The student rep is also responsible for making the students respected whilst also taking action on issues which concern the students' academic lives. If interested in running, contest the elections on Wednesday 30th November 2011, and do it on behalf of your fellow colleagues.

If not running, make your voice heard and vote for who you would like to represent you on Faculty."
